Grizzly Sports Complex to Feature Two Shaw Sportexe Synthetic Turf Fields

6-27-11- The new Grizzly Sports Complex, owned and operated by the Gainesville Haymarket Youth Football League (GHYFL), will unveil two Shaw Sportexe synthetic fields this fall. The complex, located in Bristow, Virginia, will be the first sports park in Western Prince William County to feature synthetic turf fields for multiple sports including football, lacrosse, field hockey and soccer.

Both Grizzly synthetic turf fields, totaling 133,200 square feet, will feature PowerBlade HP+, a turf system designed with a 2.0” monofilament fiber and sand/rubber infill. Known for its natural grass aesthetics, PowerBlade HP+ is engineered to combine durability and performance for year-round, multi-purpose use.

The GHYFL is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a character building program for both boys and girls of the Gainesville-Haymarket area. It is estimated in the Fall of 2011, over 56,000 people will visit the Grizzly Sports Complex for youth sporting events, with that number climbing to over 125,000 in 2012. The complex will be available for rental by other sports groups for practices, games, tournaments and special events.
