Shaw Sportexe Chosen to Install Minnesota Vikings Field June 2, 2010
VIKING’S MALL OF AMERICA CHOOSES SHAW SPORTEXE

Kennesaw, GA- June 2, 2010- The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission (MSFC), owner and operator of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, has selected Shaw Sportexe for their new synthetic turf field. The Metrodome, recently named the Mall of America field, is home to the Minnesota Vikings, and is the only facility in America to have hosted Major League Baseball’s 1985 All Star Game, two World Series, two NCAA Final Fours and a Super Bowl. About 73 million people have visited the Metrodome since it opened in 1982, making it the countrys most versatile, heavily used stadium.
Construction is scheduled to start on July 23 with the field being completed in time for the first Vikings preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on August 28th. Shaw Sportexe will install its Momentum® product, a high-performance synthetic turf system designed to maximize player performance and speed.
